Mark Tures wins RPRC pistol match

The Rappahannock Pistol & Rifle Club conducted a center-fire pistol match on Saturday, August 14.

The match is known as the “Falling Plates” match and consists of rapid fire shooting at six metal plates which are 8 inches in diameter and spaced a foot apart on a metal stand about 4 feet high, reported Tom Smith.

Competitors start in the “Low Ready” position with pistols pointing down at a 45 degree angle and wait for the buzzer….
