30 teens receive vaccines at Vacs and Backs clinic; 50 backpacks distributed

Thanks to the town of Kilmarnock, dozens of volunteers and multiple community partners the recent Vacs and Backs event was successful.

On August 21, the community came together for a vaccination clinic and backpack distribution at Town Centre Park in Kilmarnock. Lisa Laurier of the Virginia Department of Health, Three Rivers Health District and her team administered Pfizer vaccinations.

“Of the 30 vaccines given today, 20 were for teens. This was one of the most successful clinics yet….
