COVID-19 has crept back into the athletic arena and is disrupting winter sports schedules around the region.
Several programs, including Lancaster High School girls basketball and Essex High School boys basketball, have been temporarily sidelined by COVID-19. Combine the COVID-19 pauses with recent weather-related cancelations and havoc has been wreaked on Northern Neck District schedules.
As a result, athletic directors voted last week to cancel both the boys and girls district basketball tournaments….
