Spinning
The Try It Tuesday session from 6-8 p.m. February 8 will be Beginning Wool Spinning with instructor Cate Kauffman.
The spinning of fibers to create thread and yarn has been going on since pre-history, reported executive director Doug Mock. Fiber spinning was once a matter of survival to provide humans with clothing, ropes and shelter. Now spinning has become an art craft and the resulting product can be used in other art crafts like knitting, weaving and crochet.
