Lady Devils end regular season play in fifth place

The Lancaster High School Lady Devils ended regular season play with a couple of losses last week to finish in fifth place in Region A softball.

Lancaster will play fourth-ranked Essex today, May 26, in Tappahannock. The winner will advance to the tournament semifinals Tuesday, May 31, at the higher seed. The championship is June 2.

Lancaster left the tying run on base last Friday in a 4-3 loss to Essex.
