With claps, barks and some tail wagging, the Northern Neck Partners for Pets (NNPP) on Saturday, June 11, officially opened the Fricke Pavilion, the first phase in creating a place dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and cats in the Northern Neck.
Named in memory of Garfield and Andrea Fricke, the pavilion will be used for special events as the group continues to raise the $3 million needed for the animal shelter and adoption center which also will be on the 35.8-acre parcel at 790 Devils Bottom Road in Lancaster, according to NNPP president Terrie Dort.
“It’s all about family, including the four legged members,” said capital campaign chairman Eric Nost, who helped Dort cut the ribbon….
