Concert to feature patriotic favorites, film scores and Broadway musicals

The U.S. Air Force (USAF) Heritage of America Band will perform music from Broadway shows, film scores by John Williams and patriotic favorites at a free concert at 7 p.m. July 2 on the Irvington Commons, 98 King Carter Drive, Irvington.   

Concertgoers are urged to bring chairs and picnics to the performance, which is presented by the Irvington Village Improvement Association (VIA). Unlike past years, the band will perform in front of the Steamboat Era Museum.

Concert sponsor Chesapeake Bank will offer free hot dogs, chips and desserts from 5:30 p.m.-6:45 p.m.
