A familiar name and face recently returned to the Northern Neck as Michael Myers stepped into the role of principal at Lancaster Primary School.
Myers, who had been principal of Northampton High School on the Eastern Shore since 2014, also spent four years as principal at Northumberland High School from 2006-10 and two years as assistant principal at Northumberland Middle School from 1993-1995.
During his time at Northampton, graduation rates increased from 84% to 92%, math scores increased from 71% to 92%, and the school was able to achieve full accreditation.
“I’m looking forward to a great year,” Myers said as he begins planning….
