HEATHSVILLE—At a special called meeting on Wednesday, July 20, the Northumberland board of supervisors considered engineering options to replace the existing, leaking roof on the old EVB building, which houses the school board.
As part of the roof replacement, the drive-thru would be dismantled.
According to David C. Liebal, engineer with HDH Associates, the low-slope or flat roof system is past its service life and needs to be replaced.
Liebal presented options to keep the low-slope roof design and existing slate shingles on the outside perimeter. Depending on material choice, options would range from $125,000-$150,000.
