Wilson to interns as a bench jeweler

Burkes Fine Jewelers recently announced the newest member to their team, Morgan Wilson. She will be interning as an up-and-coming bench jeweler in addition to assisting clients in the showroom.

“I am thrilled to start shadowing Fred and Melissa in the workroom as well as learning the many tasks it takes to become a bench jeweler,” said Wilson.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Wilson of Heathsville and is a junior at Northumberland High School.

Wilson is a member of several clubs, the Coan Baptist Youth Group and the Northumberland High School varsity softball team.

“We’re happy to add Morgan to our team of hometown professionals. Her eagerness to learn along with her spunk has been a perfect match with our bunch here,” said Fred Burke. “Morgan is going to be a valuable asset to both Melissa and I in the workroom.”

Wilson invites all her friends and family to visit her at Burkes to take a look at the custom designs and for a tour of the jeweler’s workshop.
