Lancaster’s Keyvontrez Bunns (3) hit the jets on his first-quarter reception to outrun Rappahannock defenders and score on a 35-yard pass play during last week’s junior varsity football game at LHS. After a three-year program hiatus due to COVID-19 and decreased numbers, the JV Red Devils have gotten off to an 0-1-1 start with last week’s 42-24 loss to the Raiders. Lancaster held a 12-6 lead at the half on Bunns’ catch-and-run and a 67-yard hook-up from quarterback Antonio Tomlin to Jayvien Monroe. But Rappahannock scored four touchdowns in the final 16 minutes to pull away. Lancaster will host Westmoreland on Wednesday, October 5. Photo by Lisa Hinton-Valdrighi
