Irvington planning commission recommends council approve CUP for Tides Inn development

IRVINGTON—After months of back-and-forth debate and deliberation, the Irvington Planning Commission on Tuesday, September 27, forwarded a conditional use permit (CUP) application from Tides Inn to the town council for consideration and approval.

Tides Inn initially submitted a CUP application June 30 for the purpose of demolishing and removing several buildings, gravel paths and concrete areas to construct a spa facility, back of house facility and access roads.

Upon submitting the CUP application, many residents attended planning commission and town council meetings to voice their concerns….
