Short-term rentals still a contentious topic for Irvington

IRVINGTON—Weeks ago, the Irvington Town Council adopted ordinances regulating short-term rentals (STR). However, disputes and conversations on the topic continue to cause controversy and spark discussion among residents and planning commission members.

During a public hearing on Tuesday, November 1, the commission considered several conditional use permit (CUP) applications seeking STR designation.

Paul and Jennifer Landers submitted an application to operate an STR at 89 Park Place in the Vineyard Grove community. Zoning administrator Justin Nelson reported that two neighbors had written letters of support for the application while four others filed letters of objection….
