Alyshia Toulson invites all with a hearty appetite to “pull up” to her food truck that provides a taste of the Northern Neck. Her seafood-based menu has been crafted from inspiration of her family, roots and heritage.
Toulson, who was born in Maryland and raised in Reedville, knows seafood. After working in several kitchens in the area over the years and mastering her craft, she’s taken the leap to become her own boss and has been operating her food truck, The PullUp DMV, since Labor Day.
“Eventually you get tired of working for others and you learn your worth. When you own your own business you’re irreplaceable,” she said.
