REMO—Jeanine N. Abbott of Remo died on December 11, 2022.
She was born on September 24, 1931, to the late John W. Northern and Myrtline Keyser Northern.
She is survived by her children, Mary Rebecca Abbott, Jean Abbott Pitt, Kenneth Abbott and Patricia Abbott Prillaman; and two brothers, J.W. Northern Jr. and Eugene Northern.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Marvin A. Abbott; her sister, Agnes Hatton; and her brother, Franklin “Tom” Northern.
Jeanine was a longtime member of Wicomico Baptist Church in Remo, devoting herself to a lifetime of service to her church, family and her community at large. To know her was to love her and her kind and generous spirit extended far beyond her geographic boundaries. Though slight of stature she left a very big impression upon all those who came to know her throughout her life.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, at Wicomico Baptist Church in Remo with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Jeanine requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Wicomico Baptist Church, P.O. Box 171, Wicomico Church, VA 22579.
