Ann R. Henry

KILMARNOCK—Ann Roberta Henry of Kilmarnock died November 27, 2022.

She was born on February 3,1941, to the late Mary Helen and Henry Mills in White Stone. Ann was educated at A.T. Wright School in White Stone and graduated from Brookvale High School in 1960.

She was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and was rebaptized on December 22, 2019.

Ann worked at the Tides Lodge and Tides Inn for more than 40 years and retired in 2016. She was a chef by trade.

She was preceded in death by her son, George C. Henry; three sisters, Virginia Thomas, Dorothy Nelson and Elva Reid; four brothers, William Henry, Clifton Henry, Charles “Nick” Henry and Matthew Payne; and one granddaughter, Tyneshia Conaway.

She is survived by her son, Michael Henry (Sherry) of Kilmarnock; two daughters, Cheryl Conaway of Weems and Cynthia Henry of Kilmarnock; 10 grandchildren, Trey Henry, Shirleya Henry, LaTanya Mattocks, McKenzie O. Henry, Shawn Henry, Tyrelle Henry, Chanelle Conaway, Chris Henry, Jasmine Henry and Eric Henry; seven great-grandchildren, Jaden Laws, Amiyah Henry, Jasoni Caster, Anthony Caster, Mekhai Caster, Jermai McNeill and Sierra McNeill; two brothers, Leon Henry of Wildwood, N.J., and Wallace Henry (Phyllis) of Weems; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service was held December 3 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in White Stone. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
