Reece Rhodes earns second straight gold medal in shot put

Reece Rhodes picked up his second straight gold medal on Saturday, December 10, putting the shot 47’7.5” for the win at the Virginia Beach High School Opener.

Presented by the U.S. Coast Guard, the indoor track meet included 60 teams, most of which were Class 4, 5 and 6. Rhodes beat out 72 others in the shot put event.

“The coaches are happy with everyone’s progress,” said LHS assistant coach James Timm. “Lancaster’s athletes always give 100%.”

After two meets, the LHS indoor track and field boys team has already pre-qualified for the Class 1 state meet in eight of 15 events….
