Lancaster went 4-1 on the day to finish fifth among 12 teams and two LHS wrestlers went unbeaten as gold medalists at the Rivanna Rumble in Charlottesville December 9-10.
The Red Devils beat Amelia, 42-30; Colonial Heights, 39-30; Courtland, 42-36, and Franklin, 42-30. Lancaster’s only loss came by criteria in a 36-36 tie to Buffalo Gap.
