Lancaster’s 2021 state champions receive their rings

The Lancaster High School (LHS) 2021 state champions were honored with a ring ceremony last week during halftime of a boys basketball game.

Members of the LHS golf team and runner Hailey Smith were presented state championship rings by Lancaster assistant principal Quintese Kenner and dean of students Amanda Wilson.

The 2021 LHS golf team of Claire Beitel, Leyton Dew, Pierson Long, Carter McGee, Colin Payne, Ben Pittman, Eli Pittman and coach Rob Pittman was honored for its 2021 Class 1 state championship. During that season, the Red Devils went 9-0 as the Region 1A champion. The Devils won the state championship at Olde Mill Golf Resort in Laurel Fork with the lowest score of 342. 

Smith, the most accomplished runner in Lancaster High School history….
