Ann Loren Ball

VIRGINIA BEACH—Ann Loren Ball, 52, entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2023.

She was born on December 10, 1970, in Virginia Beach to Annie Mackey and the late David Walker.

Ann was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and graduated from the Floyd E. Kellam High School in 1988. After graduation, Ann enlisted in the U.S. Army, completed a tour in Desert Storm and served four years before being honorably discharged.

Ann furthered her education and received a bachelor’s in biology and a master’s in nursing, both from Old Dominion University.

Ann loved reading and going to the movies, but most importantly, she loved her family.

Ann was predeceased by her father, David Walker; and grandparents, Clarence and Annie Williams.

Ann leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Kyle Ball; son, Kyle Ball Jr.; mother, Annie Mackey (Johnny); six siblings, Iris Story (Martin), Denise Williams, Raven Young (Horace), Neda Allen (Stan), David Perkins, Ebony Walker; six nieces; three nephews; several aunts and cousins; five brothers-in-law; mother-in-law, Elsie Ball; father-in-law, James Ball (Yvonne); and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 14, at Enoch Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Interment followed at Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
