LANCASTER—Nancy Lee Steele Talley, 85, of Lancaster went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 3, 2023. She was born December 7, 1937, in Silver Spring, Maryland.
She is survived by her children, Alice T. Coates (Jimmy), Martha T. Wilson (John), Winfield W. Talley and Marjorie T. Lampkin (Billy); nine grandchildren; two loved-like grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gloria T. Stover (Jack); as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Winfield C. Talley; parents, William F. (Sr.) and Alice R. Steele; siblings, William F. Steele Jr., Patricia A. Isaac and Alan R. Steele; and a daughter-in-law, Lorianne Talley.
Nancy was a devoted homemaker who loved children and cared for many, in addition to her own, over the years. She was an excellent crafter and especially enjoyed ceramics and card-making. She was a wonderful cook and many of her children and grandchildren continue to prepare family recipes she taught them. She was a strong, faithful Christian and is now enjoying peace in heaven.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Historic White Marsh Church in Lancaster. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
