Prizes, a pound cake contest, music and children’s activities all will be featured at the county’s fifth heritage festival from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. May 6 on the Court House Green and in the Mathews Historical Museum, 200 Main Street, Mathews.
A $100 door prize will be awarded to one lucky attendee, to be announced on stage at 2:30 p.m., reported Mathews Historical Museum president John A. Caramia Jr.
Register at the information desk for a drawing ticket, and enjoy the food and craft booths, special displays and exhibits indoors at the museum, entertainment and pound cakes for sale while awaiting announcement of the winning ticket.
The theme for this year’s May Faire, is “Celebrating Teachers, Schools & Community: Over A Hundred Years of Public Education in Mathews County.” There will be several exhibits at the museum honoring past…..
