Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) recently announced its member honors for June. The honorees are Diana Wright, Isabelle Skinner, Miles Erskine and Hailey Self.
Diana Wright
Wright is in the 10th grade at Lancaster High School and is the BGCNN Teen of the Month. She attends the Lancaster club in Kilmarnock where she has been a member since 2015.
Wright is involved in programs such as SMART Moves and Teen Chef. SMART is an acronym for skills, mastery and resilience training. The program uses a team approach that involves club staff and peer leaders in discussion and role-playing, practicing resilience and refusal skills, developing assertiveness, strengthening decision-making skills and analyzing media and peer influence.
