Classic summer carnival scene in Kilmarnock

The 88th Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department Firemen’s Festival opened Thursday, August 27. Neither heat nor rain could keep folks away. The carnival continues nightly through Saturday, August 5 at the KVFD Carnival Grounds, 200 Waverly Avenue, Kilmarnock. Revelers will find a variety of rides, games and food. The carnival will conclude at 11:30 p.m. Saturday with a grand prize drawing for a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 4X4. Tickets are $10 and available at the carnival as supplies last.
