September 2 concert to benefit animal shelter

The Dirty Grass Players, a progressive bluegrass band, will be featured from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, September 2, at Easy Wind Farm, 652 Blackwells Wharf Road, Burgess. The concert will benefit the Northumberland County Animal Shelter.

Special guests Mama Sue and the Piglets, performing acoustic blues, will be the opening act, at 5 p.m.

Easy Wind Farm will donate the profits from the event to the shelter, reported Ann DeMuth.
