KILMARNOCK—The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) recently announced that Phillip Mumford has been named Boys & Girls Club of Virginia chief executive officer of the year, and Rev. Dr. Linwood Blizzard has been named board member of the year. The recognition came during a recent VA/DC Area Council meeting in Staunton.
Mumford has exemplified the BGCNN motto of “whatever it takes” throughout his 11 years with the BGCA movement. His commitment to the mission of the Boys & Girls Club to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens is second to none, reported marketing assistant Sue Berg.
