KING GEORGE—Thomasine Melissa Johnson died November 21, 2023.
She was born on November 12, 1965, to Mary P. Johnson and Ernest L. Johnson Sr.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in King George. She graduated from King George High School. She worked at a Campground Resort Company in Oak Grove and relocated to Newport News where she worked at Helmmetts Corporation and later, Semens Corporation. She returned to King George in 2003 after the passing of her mother and became a full-time caretaker for her brother and her father.
Thomasine is survived by her father, Ernest L. Johnson; brothers, Ernest L. Johnson Jr., Miguel T. Johnson, Thomas I. Pollard, Tyrone Pollard, Carl E. Pollard Jr. and Michael T. Pollard.
A funeral was held on Thursday, November 30, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Bland officiating. Interment followed in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
