Summer musical is a hit

It’s all about dreams for the 1950s girl group whose story is told through pop songs in “The Marvelous Wonderettes.” The quartet’s members have big dreams of being crowned prom queen, finding the man of their dreams and becoming a movie star. The Marvelous Wonderettes’ prom dresses, tailor-made by Alexis Forrester for (from left) Jenifer Walker, Laurie Breakwell, Catherine Curtis and Katie Lynn Lucy, display each character’s “signature color”—coral, green, pink and blue. The musical continues at 8 p.m. June 13-15 and 20-22, and 3 p.m. June 16 and 23 at The Lancaster Playhouse, 361 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone.
