KILMARNOCK—The 89th Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) Firemen’s Festival will feature two grand prizes—a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab pickup and a 2024 Massimo golf cart.
The golf cart is provided by KVFD and Moubray & Co. in Kilmarnock and the truck is provided by KVFD and Ken Houtz Chevrolet in Gloucester. Because of the additional golf cart second prize, tickets are $20 instead of $10 as in past years, said festival president Cody Smith. The drawing will be held at 11:30 p.m. August 3 at the carnival grounds, 200 Waverly Avenue, Kilmarnock. Winners don’t have to be present.
“The first ticket drawn will be the winner of the truck and the second the golf cart,” said Smith. “That way everyone has a ticket in the [barrel] for the truck.”
Grand prize tickets are on sale from any KVFD firefighter or at the firehouse, 71 School Street, Kilmarnock from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays, June 15, 22 and 29 and July 6, 13 and 20.
The carnival will be held nightly July 25-August 3, except Sunday.
