Singin’ for the shelter: musical fundraiser to help animals in need

The weekend of June 21 through June 23 is expected to be filled with good vibes and great music as Easy Wind Farm, 652 Blackwells Wharf Road, Burgess, will host its annual fundraiser for the Friends of the Northumberland County Animal Shelter (FNCAS).

Easy Wind Farm is a great place to pull up a chair, kick back and listen to good music under the stars.

All profits from the weekend event will be used for veterinary care for shelter animals and making shelter improvements, according to FNCAS president Angelique Moore. “We so appreciate what Katie and Danny are doing,” she said.

In addition to donating proceeds from this event, $5 from every ticket sold at other Easy Wind concert events this season will go towards the shelter, said Katie Powers.

This is the second year Danny and Katie Powers are hosting the family-friendly weekend event which combines their “pure love” of music and animals.
