WHITE STONE—By unanimous 3-0 vote, the White Stone Town Council on June 13 adopted and appropriated a proposed fiscal year 2024-25 budget totaling $251,405.

A related public hearing was held on the budget June 6, without any community input.
The budget includes a projected increase of $8,893 over the current budget, with a separate public utilities budget estimated at $137,875.
As adopted, projected revenues include a $22,000 increase in prepared food taxes and a nearly $2,000 increase of rental income from the town hall’s back office space. Town manager Patrick Frere anticipates a revenue decrease of about $9,300 in bank taxes.
Estimated expenditures include a $1,300 increase in insurance premiums and additional landscaping costs of $2,500 for public areas within the town.
