The summer programming at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) just got sweeter with a $5,000 grant from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.
According to BGCNN director of marketing Jackie Ammons, the grant will be used to enhance summer programming for more than 250 children at their sites in Lancaster, Northumberland and Richmond counties.
“We really like to do field trips,” Ammons said. In addition to weekly field trips, the program provides summer learning loss prevention, STEM education, arts, crafts and outdoor activities.
