Athletes, students and parents invited to FCA informational session

Matt Kerr, regional director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will lead an informational session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, at St. Francis De Sales Hall, 145 East Church Street, Kilmarnock. Parents, students and athletes are invited.

Kerr will address what the organization does and discuss efforts to establish a greater presence in the Northern Neck, said Chris Stallings of the Knights of Columbus, event sponsor.

Kerr played football at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, where he started at long snapper and tight end. During his four years, he helped the Captains make it to the NCAA tournament three times, reaching the Sweet 16 during his senior year.

Kerr also helped lead the CNU FCA campus huddle large group and a Bible study for football….
