
Christchurch School, host of the annual Jason Soucek Memorial Soccer Tournament September 6 and 7, won the tournament. The Seahorses defeated St. Mary’s Ryken of Leonardtown, Md., 3-1, in the championship match.
The tournament is held each year to celebrate the life of Middlesex resident and 1992 Christchurch School graduate Jason Soucek, reported communications assistant Jennifer Homer.

Christchurch School senior Esteban Fernandez Cuevas of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was named tournament most valuable player.
The Seahorses won their first round, beating St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes of Alexandria, 2-0.
St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes won the consolation round against Steward School of Richmond, 7-2.
