2024 Knull Community Service Award winners announced

Tonya Carter, Jack and Susan Moore, & Dr. Bernard “Trey” Davis III have been selected to receive the 2024 William H. Knull Jr. Award for their service to the Northern Neck community.

KILMARNOCK—The 2024 Capt. William H. Knull Community Service Award winners will be recognized at Reach for the Stars on October 17 at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN), 517 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

The BGCNN board of directors announced Tonya Carter, Jack and Susan Moore, and Dr. Bernard “Trey” Davis III have been selected to receive the 2024 William H. Knull Jr. Award for their service to the Northern Neck community through decades of dedication to the youth of the Lancaster, Northumberland and Richmond counties respectively, said resource development and marketing director Jackie Ammons.

The award is presented annually to Northern Neck residents who have distinguished themselves by unselfish service to God, country and community, while providing services for the betterment of youth, said Ammons. The award serves as a platform to teach young people that service to others is a trait that is admirable, highly valued, and worth recognizing.

The event will open with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. and will be catered by Ma Margaret’s House Bed & Breakfast. Tickets are $100 per person or $750 for a table of eight….
