Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against two individuals.
A Heathsville woman, 34, was charged September 14 with assault and battery of a family or household member.
A Lancaster man, 33, was charged September 14 with assault and battery of a family or household member.

September 11: Staff responded to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for destruction of property, to the 2000 block of White Chapel Road for a court ordered property exchange, to the 3000 block of Black Stump Road for suspicious activity, to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 70 block of Peake Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 4000 block of White Chapel Road for an adult welfare check.
September 12: Staff responded to the 600 block of McSwain Road for an adult welfare check, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for an unruly customer, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a larceny, to the 300 block of King Carter Drive for a suspicious vehicle, to the 100 block of Green Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 100 block of Inlet Cove for a domestic disturbance.
September 13: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the road, to the 1700 block of Laurel Point Road for suspicious activity, to the 100 block of Brookvale Lane for check fraud, to Old Saint Johns Road for a suspicious vehicle, to Mary Ball and Harris roads for a reckless driver, and to the 2000 block of Merry Point Road for gunshots in the late evening hours.
September 14: Staff responded to the 300 block of Devils Bottom Road for a verbal dispute, to the 8000 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a child welfare check, and to the 90 block of Otter Cove for gunshots in the late evening hours.
September 15: Staff responded to the 400 block of Lumberlost Road for a verbal dispute, to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a vehicle hit and run, to the 700 block of Millenbeck Road for livestock in the highway, to the 2000 block of Weems Road for a noise complaint, and to the 300 block of Devils Bottom Road for a domestic disturbance.
Staff also conducted 31 traffic stops, issued 31 summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated two building alarms, logged two inmate transports, received six E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control service.

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to separate fire alarms at 1679 Ottoman Ferry Road and 1453 Shore Drive.
White Stone VFD responded to separate fire alarms at 183 York Road and 77 Bellows Drive.
