Pickin’ and reading

Folks gathered Saturday, September 14, for the 12th annual Morattico Waterfront Museum Crab Feast. Organizers indicated 95 tickets were sold and 10 bushels of crabs were steamed. Everyone enjoyed their fill. Among the highlights, (from left) author Susan Swift and illustrator Heather Cockrell offered the ABCs of Crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay for sale. Swift noted her recently published children’s book is available at museums, book stores, gift shops and special events throughout the area. They’re on the “crab feast tour,” said Cockrell.
