BGCNN takes $4.4 million ‘Building Great Futures in Northumberland County Capital Campaign’ public

HEATHSVILLE—The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) recently announced the public launch of its “Building Great Futures in Northumberland County Capital Campaign,” with a goal of raising $4.4 million.

This pivotal campaign will fund the comprehensive renovation and expansion of the club facility at 8200 Northumberland Highway in Heathsville. The plan includes renovating the existing 5,600-square-foot facility and adding 10,000 square feet, which will encompass program spaces such as music, career counseling and art; a gymnasium, and outdoor play areas and sports fields. Additionally, the expansion will feature age-specific spaces for teens and youth, and community meeting spaces for both small and large events.

A related event will be held at 2 p.m. November 10 at Roanoke Farm, 6108 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville. Folks are requested to RSVP by November 1 to 435-9696, ext 103, or RSVP@bgcnn.org.

According to chief executive officer Phillip Mumford, the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck has grown significantly since its charter in summer 2008 and now serves over 650 members….
