Lottsburg man faces two felonies, three misdemeanors in Browns Store Road incident

BROWNS STORE—On Tuesday, November 19, at 8:05 p.m., local law enforcement responded to the 2400 block of Browns Store Road for a subject that was shot.

Upon arrival, an adult male victim was found in the house with a gunshot wound, reported Northumberland County Sheriff John A. Beauchamp. He had been shot while in the back yard.

Family members and law enforcement gave first aid to the victim until emergency medical services arrived, said Sheriff Beauchamp. The victim was airlifted to a Richmond area hospital.

During the investigation, Desmond Wiggins, 18, of Lottsburg, was arrested and charged with two felonies, maliciously shooting into an occupied vehicle and possession of an auto sear/trigger activator. He also was charged with three….
