WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council will soon seek bids for phase two of its public sewer project.
Council voted unanimously, 4-0, on December 5 to direct town manager Patrick Frere to put the project out for bids when the town receives the go-ahead from Virginia’s office of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
According to Frere, the town submitted its final paperwork to the USDA following the October meeting. The review policy was “supposed to be 30 days,” said Frere. “It’s been 48 days at this point.” He expects notification of approval any day and would like to be able to start advertising the project for bids as soon as….
