Sheriffs’ reports 12-19-24

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported felony charges against one individual.

Steve Deroger Lee Waller Jr., 27, no known address, was charged December 13 with two counts of prohibiting the sale or manufacturing of drugs on or near certain properties, and three counts of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing with the intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute a controlled substance.

Activity report

December 9: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for threats.

December 10: Staff responded to the 700 block of Mastons Wharf Road for a scam, to the 70 block of Pleasant Banks Road for a break and entering, to the 1600 block of Little Bay Road for a civil complaint, and to the 100 block of Turner Lane for the report of a domestic assault.

December 11: Staff responded to the 60 block of Beach Creek Road for suspicious activity, to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for an adult welfare check, to the 900 block of Rappahannock Drive for a trespass complaint, to the 1000 block of Griffins Landing Road for suspicious activity, to River Road and Belmont Drive for a downed tree, to White Chapel Road for a reckless driver, and to the 900 block of Black Stump Road for the report of a downed tree.

December 12: Staff responded to the 200 block of Leland Road for suspicious activity, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a citizen requesting an Emergency Protective Order, to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for destruction of property, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice.

December 13: Staff responded to Devils Bottom and Mary Ball roads for a suspicious vehicle, to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for a noise complaint, to the 600 block of Bald Eagle Road for downed overhead power lines, to the 500 block of Regina Road for threats, and to the 17000 block of Mary Ball Road for a vehicle hit and run.

December 14: Staff responded to the 9000 block of River Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 3000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle.

December 15: Staff responded to the 400 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for an adult welfare check.

Staff also conducted 23 traffic stops, issued 14 summonses, assisted five motorists, recorded four deer strike accidents, handled two requests for traffic control, investigated three building alarms, processed two mental health orders, logged an inmate transport, received four E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at 354 Spring Hill Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to separate fire alarms at 409 Mariners Watch Lane and 435 East Church Street.
