KILMARNOCK—Carl Douglas “Doug” Reed, 86, of Kilmarnock passed away on December 10, 2024.
He was a retired water treatment technician, and a veteran of the Air Force and the Coast Guard Auxillary.
Carl is survived by his wife of 24 years, Margaret R. “Peggy” Reed; a daughter, Rae Glover (John); two granddaughters, Kristen and Shaye Glover; and one brother, Mike Reed (Lea).
Services will be private. Doug was an active member of the Blacksmith’s Guild at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern in Heathsville and the family suggests donations to them in his memory. They can be mailed to RH/HT Foundation, Inc., PO Box 579, Heathsville, VA 22473.
