HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, February 18, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Robert W. Dawson II of Portsmouth, charged with two counts of probation violation on a felony offense, Dawson was not found and a capias was issued for April 22. Dawson is a fugitive.
In the case of Bernard L. Jenkins of Fredericksburg, a probation violation charge was dismissed. An additional probation violation on a felony offense charge status hearing was set for July 22.
In the case of Shaquoy Y. McKellar of Goochland, charged with distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs, a trial was set for March 4.
In the case of Nathaniel T. Long of Reedville, charged with strangulation resulting in wound or injury, a status hearing was set for March 4. Long also faces misdemeanor charges of assault and battery, 19 counts of violation of a protective order and 19 counts of contempt of court by disobeying judgement.
