Lancaster played seven of its first eight matches on the road, so coach Rob Pittman and his varsity soccer team are looking forward to some home field advantage in the second half of the season.

“We have 10 away games and six home games and five of those home games are our very last two weeks of the [regular] season,” he said.

The Red Devils have gotten off to a rough start at 1-5 with their only win coming over King & Queen. In fact, they’ve only scored five goals so far this season with a 5-0 shutout by Northumberland to open Northern Neck District play on April 16. Lancaster also lost, 3-1, to Rappahannock but has two more district matches against the Raiders before….
