REEDVILLE—Gordon G. Hawkins Jr., 69, of Reedville and Bradenton, Fla., passed away on April 29, 2025, in Bradenton.
Gordon was born in Tampa, Fla., on April 7, 1956, to Nita and Gordon George Hawkins. He attended Hillsborough High School in Tampa, graduating in 1974.
He was married to Cheryl (Herndon) Hawkins on March 20, 2014.
Gordon had a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he worked in electronics and communication for 36 years. He enjoyed spending time near the water, where he loved the beach, fishing, music and spending time with family and friends.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his son, Christopher Hawkins (Amanda); stepdaughter, Jessica Harrison (Erik); five grandchildren; and one nephew. He also is survived by a sister, Karen Saari (Steve); and a brother, Kenneth Hawkins (Magna).
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in Reedville at a future date to be determined.
