Sheriffs’ Reports 6-12-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against five individuals.

Felonies

Jaden Alexis Jones, 20, of Lancaster was charged June 2 with two counts of knowingly communicating in writing a threat to kill or do bodily injury which placed such person in reasonable apprehension of death or bodily injury, and two misdemeanor counts of harassment by computer.

Dillon Michael Rhea, 31, of Urbanna was charged June 4 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of grand larceny.

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster woman, 50, was charged June 5 with non-compliance with VASAP.

A Lancaster man, 52, was charged June 8 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath or blood for chemical test, destruction of property, and reckless driving by driving a vehicle that was not under proper control on a highway.

A Lancaster man, 63, was charged June 9 with assault and battery of a family or household member.

Activity report

June 2: Staff responded to the 100 block of Greentown Road for a larceny, and to the 100 block of Tabernacle Lane for an adult welfare check.

June 3: Staff responded to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for an adult welfare check, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a fraud, to the 200 block of Pinckardsville Road for four-wheelers on the highway, to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for a larceny, and to the 1000 block of Regina Road for legal advice.

June 4: Staff responded to the 1000 block of Regina Road for fraud, to the 500 block of North Main Street for a fight in progress, to the 1000 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a verbal dispute.

June 5: Staff responded to the 800 block of Chestnut Grove Lane for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Weems and Gaskins roads for a disabled vehicle, to the 8000 block of River Road for debris in the highway, and to the 70 block of Rose Drive for gunshots in the late evening hours.

June 6: Staff responded to the 600 block of North Main Street for a juvenile complaint, to the 70 block of Peake Road for a verbal dispute, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for construction fraud, and to the 1900 block of Black Stump Road for trespassing.

June 7: Staff responded to the 1000 block of Irvington Road for an unattended vehicle, and to the 1200 block of Goodluck Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

June 8: Staff responded to the 700 block of Devils Bottom Road for debris in the highway, to Alfonso and Mary Ball roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of White Chapel Road for harassment, to the 8000 block of River Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a domestic assault, and to the 600 block of Western Branch Road for the report of suspicious activity.

Staff also conducted 21 traffic stops, issued 12 summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a request for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged two inmate transports, received nine E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at 460 South Main Street, a traffic crash at 1281 Good Luck Road and a washer/dryer fire at 287 School Street.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a traffic crash at 808 Chestnut Grove Lane, and a traffic crash at Alfonso and Mary Ball roads.

White Stone VFD responded to a fire alarm at 71 Brightwater Drive.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 15 individuals.

Felonies

Omar A. Galeas (no age or address given) was charged May 10 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland Circuit Court on an original charge of breaking and entering an occupied house. He was served by the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Myshaun Tihee Porter (no age or address given) was charged May 23 with brandishing a firearm and damaging property. He  also was charged on two capiases to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for violating his conditions on a suspended sentence and also to revoke a bond previously set.

Porter also was charged May 23 on four felony warrants for threatening in writing to do bodily injury. He also was charged on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Lancaster County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear on original charges of child support. He was served on these charges by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Towanga Hosea Palmer, 53, of Lancaster County was charged May 29 on a direct indictment issued by the Multi-jurisdictional grand jury on a charge of distribution/sell for profit a Schedule I/II drug. He was served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Lamar Lee Desmond, 32, (no address given) was charged June 3 on a direct indictment issued by the multi-jurisdictional grand jury on six charges of manufacturing/distribution of Schedule I/Il drugs, third offense.

Edward Logan Fisher, 34, of Heathsville was charged June 3 on a direct indictment issued from the multi-jurisdictional grand jury for attempting sexual intercourse with victim by force/treat/intimidation and object sexual penetration by force.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville woman, 42, was charged May 12 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on an original charge of failing to appear.

A Heathsville woman, 49, was charged May 13 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Hanover County General District Court for failing to appear on an original charge of driving while revoked or suspended, second offense.

A Heathsville woman, 52, was charged May 14 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Heathsville woman (no age given) was charged May 14 on a summons for a dangerous dog.

A Glen Allen man, 73, was charged May 22 on four summonses for dogs running at large in a subdivision.

An individual, 26, was charged May 22 on a Hanover County warrant for assault and battery of a family member.

A Heathsville man, 23, was charged May 23 with brandishing a firearm and assault and battery of a family member.

A Reedville woman, 25, was charged May 24 with trespassing after being forbidden to do so.

A Heathsville man, 27, was charged May 27, with assault and battery and damaging property belonging to another.

A Kinsale man, 64, was charged June 3 with actual or simulated masturbation in public.

Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
