Ralls wins ‘Bowling With Bullets’

The Rappahannock Pistol and Rifle Club (RPRC) on Saturday, July 12, conducted a pistol competition, “Bowling With Bullets.”

Starting from low ready on the timer, each participant had 20 seconds to hit six regulation size AR500 metal bowling pins at 15 yards on a ground level platform using six bullets each in two magazines/reloads or 12 shots per string, reported training director Mike Rancourt. The contest requires centerfire pistol.

Each participant shot three strings for a maximum total of round fired of 36 and a minimum of 18. A perfect score for this match was 18 out of 18 bowling pins knocked down. Cumulative time for all three strings was used to break any ties. Maximum cumulative time was 60 seconds.

Mark Ralls and Art Edsall both knocked down 18 of 18….
