The Lancaster Senior League All Stars ended a successful postseason run on July 12 when West Virginia’s Logan All Stars eliminated the local team from the Southeast Regional Senior Softball Tournament.
The Lancaster County Little League (LCLL) senior team won the District 15 championship three weeks ago and represented Virginia in the region tournament in Tennessee.
Lancaster faced Florida’s San Mateo on July 11. The Florida team held Lancaster to two hits, one each from Elizabeth Keyser and Kynleigh Wilson, in the 3-0 shutout.
Florida scored one in the bottom of the first and added another two security runs in the sixth.
Addie George, who handled all of the pitching duties for Lancaster through the District 15 and Virginia tournaments, put in a full six innings, giving up nine hits and striking out three with no walks.
