HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Anti-Litter Committee has issued a call for new members.
The committee is seeking new members and volunteers to support and implement its 2025-26 action plan, reported member Glenda Lowery.
Plan initiatives include:
• Promote the cause of a clean county culture through education and publicity.
• Host a tire amnesty/recycling collection event.
• Encourage litter clean-ups.
• Explore ways to partner with Northumberland County Public Schools to educate elementary school students.
• Investigate illegal sign removal program.
