HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, July 15, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Alexis A. Carter of Heathsville, charged with 21 counts of dog fighting activity, a jury trial was set for August 29. Carter also faces a misdemeanor charge of depriving an animal of food. Additionally, a failure to appear on a felony offense charge was concluded by nolle prosequi.
In the case of Johnshonika J. Gregory of Tappahannock, charges of probation violation on both a felony and misdemeanor offense were dismissed.
